SUMMER HOUSE QUILTS
STITCHER, QUILTMAKER, TEACHER
I am a visually challenged, traditional quilter. I have been sewing most of my life. At the age of 17 I trained as a traditional embroiderer at the Royal School of Needlework before becoming a military embroiderer for a while.
I am a Civil Servant in my day job with a variety of departments under my belt.
I love strong colour, have a passion for Hawaiian Quilts, hand stitching, tradition with a twist and sharing my love of all things stitching with others.
I make and sell a huge range of quilts. If you are interested in any of the quilts you see on this site please get in touch.
I can usually be found at Kelham Island Christmas Fair (not 2020 unfortunately). I am always interested in alternative outlets.
The pictures are of quilts I have made. More pictures ton my gallery page.
My latest passion are map quilts. Modern wholecloth quilts depicting UK site. So far London, York and Brockwell Park in Brixton. Others in the pipeline are Kew Gardens, Hampton Court, Edinburgh and the Lake District.
